Physical and Mental Workload Assessment in Human-Robot Collaboration Workplaces - a Review

نویسندگان

چکیده

Human-Robot Collaboration (HRC) systems are often chosen to improve ergonomics in manual tasks. There many metrics available quantify the ergonomic benefits when implementing a HRC. It is important understand which (ergonomic methods, tests, questionnaires) being used by researchers terms of physical and mental workloads assessment. Therefore, aim this work was review literature on subject provide key information for further investigations. A carried out four databases findings were categorized into theoretical surveys empirical studies from last five years. Results show emerging research fields that identified analyzed. The assess discussed new meaning these results proposed sense using global risk assessment as input simulation models.

Human cognitive simulation for evaluation of human-robot interface - a trade-off between flexibility in robot control and mental workload

Adaptable automation is a scheme that human operators can modify function allocations among human and machines (or robots) dynamically depending on situations. The concept is that operators should be able to delegate tasks to autonomous agents at times of their own choosing. Playbook is an example of a delegation architecture based on a team’s book of approved plays that provides a “common lang...

Mental Workload: Assessment, Prediction and Consequences

I describe below the manner in which workload measurement can be used to validate models that predict workload. These models in turn can be employed to predict the decisions that are made, which select a course of action that is of lower effort or workload, but may also be of lower expected value (or higher expected cost). We then elaborate on four different contexts in which these decisions ar...

Evaluation of Rating Scale Mental Effort (RSME) effectiveness for mental workload assessment in nurses

Background: Mental workload is one of the factors that influence individuals’ performance in the work environment as well as their efficiency and productivity. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of the Rating Scale Mental Effort (RSME) for mental workload in nurses. Materials and Methods: This study was descriptive and cross-sectional conducted on 75 nurses. For assessment ...

A Review of the Mental Workload Literature

The intent of this paper is to provide the reader with an overview of the mental workload literature. It will focus on other state of the art surveys with reference to some specific reports of the practical application of mental workload measurement. The surveys will be limited to those in English. Manzey reportedly provides a review of psychophysiological methods in German; a comparable, recen...

Physical and Affective Interaction between Human and Mental Commit Robot

Recent advances in robotics have been applied to automation in industrial manufacturing, with the primary purpose of optimizing practical systems in terms of such objective measures as accuracy, speed, and cost. This paper introduces research on mental commit robot that seeks a different direction that is not so rigidly dependent on such objective measures. The main goal of this research is to ...
